The New Label Project - Amsterdam

This shop might be the happiest place I have visited in Amsterdam. From the welcoming atmosphere to the bright colours wherever you turn, you'll immediately want to make the place your home. I found myself reading through the list of everything TNLP loves, near the entrance, and grinning like a fool. But what really makes this shop special is it's unique concept. The store is essentially a community of new and talented designers from all over the world that offer handcrafted items to put a smile on your face. The designers are handpicked and chosen by the enthusiastic, Italian owner and designer, Giulia Elena Bessone who finds these talents through friends, social media or stumbling upon them. By understanding the tough market of today Giulia has created a platform that's essential for these designers to get their project out there and it's easy to see how unique each one of them is when you go past each one and realise not a single one are the same in anyway. Each one has their own unique ideas.

When I asked Giulia about the store itself she told me that she lets each designer decorate and style their own section of the shop, usually in a white box, so that they can really show their own brand in their own way. Selling everything from clothing to jewelry to skin products and candles each designer also has their own story to tell. For nearly every box you can read about the products, who the designer is, what the product is made of and how it was made. These personal touches are exactly what people are looking for in these days of digitalisation, where shoppers can seem to no longer trust any product TNLP gives them exactly what they want to hear, authenticity!

"Capturing the grace of a falling leaf. The delicacy of an unfolding flower.
The mist of a midsummer morning."

The beautiful designs above are by the amazing designer Julia Otilia for her organic jewelry collection. Julia is a designer that really stood out for me, not just because of her gorgeous earrings and intricate necklaces but also because of her own individual concept that she displayed with her designs. She gives you a real insight into her personal vision which I felt was so valuable and got me so invested in her products. She takes us on a journey with her and her inspirations. Her jewelry is made from organic products, fair trade pearls and natural leather.

Designs to make you smile.

Anyone can find something they like in this shop, with the wide rang of designers you're spoilt for choice (and did i mention that everything is affordable.) You could spend forever looking at every item of clothing, every humorous brooch, smelling all the body butters. I really recommend a visit to this cute store even. It's perfect for gifts, cheekily treating yourself, just to browse through the wonders or even just to have a lovely chat with Giulia herself.

Reboot, Revamp, Restart

Hello everyone! I'm back!

After a long, long time I have finally decided to give my blog a face lift and restart it all over again (for about the 5th time now). Since my last post in June my world has become a whirlwind that I have been so excited to share with everyone and anyone.

In August I got accepted into the Amsterdam Fashion Institute and moved to Amsterdam 3 days after which has been an absolutely incredible experience so far, despite the exhausting workload. Amsterdam is such a beautiful place to live with unique shopping and lifestyle experiences that have inspired me so much that I felt I needed to share them with you.

The content of my blog will now include everything from fascinating, unique shops/cafes/markets that you can find in the hidden corners of Amsterdam to the inspiring people on the streets. I also want to keep you updated with the travelling I get up to when I get the chance and all the work I produce at AMFI.

I hope you will follow me on this journey of exploration and discoveries!

Celeb Style Of The Month - The Delevingnes

Poppy and Cara Delevingne are probably the two biggest names in the modelling world. For sisters that are so close they offer extremely different tastes in fashion. However, I absolutely love both of their styles so I figured they could split the August Style award!

Firstly, let's start with Cara, the hipster eyebrow girl. Her casual style is quirky, with an edge. She can pretty much pull any crazy outfit off with a silly face to go with it. Hipster stroke tom boy.

Crazy Cara Street Style

But I think the thing I admire most in Cara's overall style is her red carpet wear. From the Bart Simpson print combo to the sleek and the sexy.

Cara Cleans Up

Well she can make anything good with that fierce pout.

On the other hand, there is Poppy! Poppy has a lot more grown up style but I think it's the other way round for me.

Poppys Red Carpet Wear Is Good...

For example, I love the Elie Saab style jumpsuit but...

... Poppys Street Style Is Flawless!

This is by far my favourite combo that I have shown you today! Poppys wardrobe obviously offers an amazing choice of statement pieces to hand. She has a really unique way of putting the outfits together. Lucky gal!

Splish, Splosh, Splash - Messy Messages

Who doesn't love an unruly tee? These days you could print anything in the hope that someone will get the message. You can find tees like this anywhere but these are three of the faves that I have found! Let me know what you would print on a tee below?

I am still on my hols at the moment! Hope you are enjoying my outfit posts and peace out!

Thanks,
Rachel xo
