My Week At Central Saint Martins

As most of you may know, Central Saint Martins is one of the top schools for design in the world. Maybe even is top! So I was grateful to be able to experience a week on a summer school there - Fashion Design for 16-18 year olds. It was one of the best weeks ever. Not only did I meet some amazing people from all over the world but it was such an amazing experience as I have firmly decided that, that is where I want to be.

Over the week, we worked on a project that took us all over London for research. We went on a research trip to the Barbican and we even got to visit the new Central Saint Martins site at Kings Cross. I have taken plenty of pictures for you...

The Barbican trip was really inspiring. We were given guidelines of what we should try and collect to help us in out project. This involved visiting the Geoffrey Farmer exhibition which I personally thought was beautiful and inspirational.
These are the pictures of the new Kings Cross Site. The building was beautiful and so unique. It was a great destination if you just wanted to relax in the sun. There were fountains everywhere.

Whilst on our way to the new site we gathered inspiration for our project through building architecture. Whilst at the new site we got the opportunity to use the CSM library which had every magazine from every different era that you could think of.

So that was my trip to Central Saint Martins. Truly amazing. Made some amazing friends and had an amazing time. I have fallen in love with London all over again. It was so much fun.

Splish, Splash, Splosh - Afternoon Tea

Classy and elegant. The 1950s tea dress is back with a mellow bang. Personally, Lavish Alice does it for me. The print is stunning and I love the shape. Although, I do love the other two as well. Perfect for a proper English garden party. Can anyone pass the scones?

Thanks,
Rachel xo
